1 Midi Controller in both Reason & FL Studio??

I have switched over to using Reason from FL Studio to play most of my synth parts- and am very happy with the results I am getting. I still use FL as a DAW host and prefer the FL slicer to the samplers in Reason. Is there a way to use my midi controller simultaneously with both programs, i.e. lay down a piano part- then switch over to the slicer for a sampled part without manually having to go to the preference window each time in both programs to change which program the controller is being used in. It becomes tedious, and disrupts my workflow-

The guy above already said it. Use RE-Wire. Read your manuals for details on how to use it!

Sounds like he is using rewire, he said he was using FL as his DAW host. Once the controller is set up in both programs, i don't see how you have a problem useing it in both simultaneously. Live is my host and when i have Reason and FL both slaved to it, what ever track i have highlighted/armed is what the controller controls. So if i have a sampler on track 1 in Live and that track is armed, and i have a synth armed in a track in Reason, and a wasp or sytrus armed in FL, playin the keys on the controller trigger's all at the same time, i've neva had to fiddle with any pref going back and forth. All you do is arm the track in what ever program and it should play, no need for changin prefs evertime you change windows. Or am i missing something? The biggest problem i've ever had in this arena is forgetting to disarm a track and wondering why i'm hearin a flute (simutaneously) while playin drums. If the controller works in each program in stand alone mode (not rewired) it should work in all of them simultaneously.

If you Rewire - just make sure you remove/disable your MIDI controller in Reason. Let your DAW send all the notes over or you can get duplicate sound.

I also find that when I rewire I have to send the MIDI data right to the Reason instrument, rather than "Hardware Interface II".
