Hey! I've been looking at EWQL's symphonic orchestra and I really like it. But are there any other cheaper/better string vsti's you'd recommend?

Not a lot of people talk about it, but ProjectSAM is 100 times better than East West.

For what you get for the price... Miroslav Philharmonik is a great great choice. Nothing fancy with the playability... just great sounding strings that load fast. They were doing a ridiculous sale recently... not sure if it's still going on.

You can also look at string libraries for Kontakt. Those tend to be the best overall. You may be able to find something in your price range.

Lastly.. you can lok at AAS String Studio as an alternative. They are modeled strings... but the modelings are very good. It's a nice alternative to live sounding orchestra strings.
