I have been using FL studio for years! Last night I was messing around in garageband and saw that you can use VSTs and other plugins with it. I saw online that garageband, along with great samples and plugins, could be used as a primary DAW. Is there anybody out there that uses Garageband as their Primary DAW? If so, Can I have a link to some of you music?

Garageband is a program I've never liked... Must be because I connect it with Mac and I DON'T like Mac's... Didn't know you could use it as a DAW though! Seemed quite useless when I tried it :/ but if you can - go for it!

Me neither - it hasn't got that userfriendly interface like FL Studio does...

I used to use it before I moved on to Logic Pro 9. I've made some pretty good instrumentals on it just requires more work but eh that's what we're here for. I say just start learning the software and make do with what you have until you decide to upgrade (if you do).

    + ditto

I have it on an iPad2.......beats a blank! I guess you use what you have when you really want to make music. Some bands have made music on it, check out YouTube.

Great for getting kids to understand music-making and the DAW concept; but something 'bout it doesn't gel........GUI maybe? or just not enough once you get going?!

I've tried it out. But it reminded me of eJay which was mainly all about loop based sounds and not too much emphasis on creating your own sounds.
