dunno if any of you guys entered, but heres mine.give a listen if you want. http://soundcloud.com/christian-tiger-school/nosaj-thing-m83-junior-boys anyways to the point, from what ive listened to, the top few are nothing.. special. i just felt that they werent that very interesting. expecially the beat with the most votes. no disrespect to the guy. congrats on winning. but the singing and vocals in his song and everything. i just felt the WHOLE competition was done weirldy. people that might have been good musically with not many soundcloud followers had a HUGE disadvantage to dudes with lots of followers. the comp didnt really appeal to up-and comers. what are your guys thoughts???

I've entered so many competitions that I'm convinced they are fixed. Not because I'm bitter, but the winning entry in these competitions are never the best ones. It's always some person in some obscure location with a mix that barely used the provided samples creatively.

All of these competitions are like that. The last one I entered was the Sonar Music competition and that was a complete farce.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

duno if you listened to the most voted track but its exactly that. barely used the samples. wouldnt even have recognized the song in terms of stems provided being used had it not been in the ableton contest

You didn't have to only use the samples in the sample pack, and that is proably where alot of people messed up at.
