I feel like Sonik Synth has the more usable bread and butter patches for some reason...maybe its the extra bit they did to the fx on the presets. Along with Philharmonik.

All of the Xpansion packs are specialized, so it really depends on what you need. My personal favorites are the Symphony Strings and the Acoustic Drums.

Read about all of them here:

Something's happened where the accumulation of sounds has become more important than digging thru your collection for good sounds. I can't think of one sound I don't have access to, yet all these huge sample libraries come out day after day. Just random ramblings, don't mind me.

Two things that annoy me are people who are positive out of ignorance, and people who are negative out of bitterness. People who are neither usually get along with me and agree with most of what I say. People who are one of the 2 think I'm the other.

I'd say SampleTank has a great balance of the number of sounds and usability of those sounds. SampleTank is a true workstation, and with all the instruments in the Total Workstation bundle you really have the power of a hardware workstation but with a step up in sound quality and you can search for sounds, have access via something more than a three-line LCD screen, more control/automation, GREAT effects, and a lot more.
