I won't ramble too much about it as I hate people that talk a lot before they even do anything but the things I have found with Sampletank and Sonik Synth is that layering is the key. The track is a simple late 90's early 00's Timbaland style beat.

I been a chopper of over 40 sample libraries from Big Fish Audio | Music Loops, Drum Loops and Virtual Instruments for years now
not really playing with my MIDI keyboard too much so hey I like to hear how you use SampleTank
I made my own drumkits before so I know how to layer
but it would be great to read how you do it with Sampletank

how do I just buy 1 The Xpansion Tank title???
what I'm reading is

All Xpansion Tank collections come with a handy dandy version of SampleTank (SampleTank 2 XT) for FREE!

for $50
sampletank 2 XTcomes with 1 gig of sounds

so say I buy so I get my code credit to buy say hip hop grooves
& then a week later I buy again so I can get my code credit for say Dirty South Grooves
that's $100 total spent
and getting
sampletank 2 XTcomes with 1 gig of sounds twice

I see esoundz have the retank individual title for sale ranging from $23 to $37(the two I want are $23 each) I wondering if IK main site has it like that too and I buy both retanks titles at once tonight using my $19 jams points to pay for pretty much all of one retank title
if not I can buy from esoundz and still support IK

what the difference between SampleTank XT and the SampleTank free is it just the 1 gig of sounds?
I'll happily pay $49.99-$19 jampoints=$30.99 if the 1 gig of sounds that come with SampleTank XT are dope
and just buy individual titles from esoundz

There is some overlap with the Free library content. The XT library consists of the Free library plus about 345 MB of new sounds from varying XT2 libraries. No details on the exact ones, but consider it a sampling of what is available with our other Xpansion Tank 2 titles.

with Sampletank 2.5 selling like hot cakes... there is no need for IK putting out Sampletank 3!!!

does not make any business sense!!!

IK putting Sampletank 3 out "at this time" is like KFC going from 11 herbs and spices to 7!!!

does not make any business since... i.e. the current version of KFC are selling nicely!!!

i forgot... go to the IK website and purchase other products to build up your points so that when Sampletank 3 comes out you can get it at a reduced price!!!
