The SM7b is a great mic and can handle high spl like Sax.
If you just want a mic for recording and external voice, and not a headset to game with aswell, i would recommend the snowball as it gives you the best quality to price ratio for an external mic. But you could easily pick up a cheap headset from your store use that. I take it the you know of Chris Smoove, well all he uses is a 20 dollar headset from his local store.
