Yamaha QY70 Data Filer (non working)

I have a SbLive soundcard and i've connected my QY70 using
a midi/serial cable, i've installed the QY Data Filer 1.0.2,
but every time i try to open the QY control, or save my data,
the following message appears:
“Data transfer failed.Confirm QY70 connections (HOST SELECT switch, etc.)”

I've tried whit Windows 98se and Windows XP, all possible midi configurations,
and all positions in the Host Select switch on the Qy.
I don't know what to do, the QY is out of memory.. any help will be cherished !

look on your midi set up in utilities and make sure ur switch on the side of the machine is set to the proper format
