"how do i record midi notes from the emu mo phatt to the mpc2000xl?"

I've never used either, but... ummm... do you wanna record MIDI or sounds? Like actual MIDI arrangements or are you just trying to sample the Mo Phatt sounds into the MPC?

Assuming you are trying to record MIDI you would have to put the MPC in the correct kind of record mode and have a MIDI cable going from the out of the Mo to the In on the MPC. Then you would trigger notes (via an arpeggiator or keyboard or whatever) and the MPC should record when the MIDI data begins.

But if you wanna record actual sounds then you'd have to run a 1/4" cable (or 2) from the outs on the Mo to the ins on the MPC. Then place the MPC in the corect record mode and hit record and play whatever sounds you want.

    That help?

good drum sound but almost drum sound

    i used mo'phatt for 3month
mo'phatt have nice drum sound for hiphop, r&b
but there is little instrument sound
    it have sounds about
    65% = drum, percussion, bass
    10% = fx,vocal
    10% = lead, guitar...
15% = guitar, rhodes, organ, piano riff, chord

    if you have other instrument
and you only need good quality hiphop, r&b drum sound
    it's good choice

if you don't have other instrument
it have another way to use economically
buying proteuss2000 and install pure phatt board
pure phatt board is cheap and it is same sound... mo'phatt
but you can't use mo'phatt trigger mode
(trigger mode is useful at live performance
if you use it just at home ... you don't need that function...^^)

OK, let me tell you my setup, i have midi out from korg going to midi in of mo phatt, then i have midi out from mo phatt going to midi in of mpc2000, then i have audio out going to audio in of my vs 880 for monitoring, i have all the midi channels set correctly, i can hear all the sounds coming from the mo phatt, but i want to record all of my traxx to the mpc2000's sequencer but it won't record. it'll play but won't record. what am i doing wrong? holla,,
