Hey guys.

I'm having a bit of a problem setting up a session pro dd505 electric drumkit with cubase 5 and i was just wondering if anyone had any advice to help me out. Basically i've connected the midi out on the electric kit to the midi input of my soundcard, and cubase is picking up the signal from the drumkit in the midi input volume thing in the transport bar, so i know its all connected properly, but when i try and use groove agent or something using the drumkit as a midi input, it doesnt record any midi information onto the drum editor, score editor, or any of the editors for that matter. I'm fairly sure this is because the pads aren't assigned to notes on the piano roll or something along these lines, but really can't make much sense of the instructions in the handbook about setting up a new midi device or drum map. In case you haven't picked it up by now, i'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to this kind of thing, i'd just really like to set up the kit so i can record midi drums. I've probably explained the problem terribly, but any help would be much appreciated.
