Nord Lead 2 Versus Nord Lead 3

    hey guys,

    just wanted your opinions.

lately ive been stuck in either getting a NL2 or a NL3. As you know, there is a huge difference in price but not sure whether you guys think the differences in features is truly worth it.

for example it says that NL3 has 24 Polyphony as opposed to 16 in NL2. Also NL2 only comes with 99 patches, where as Clavia claims that the NL3 has over an astounding 1,024 patches.

Any think its worth it to get the NL3 instead?

    honest opinions only!

    thanks

    Hi

I can say that I love my NR2. But maybe there are functions on the Nr3 that you might "need"? How big is the difference in price, can you buy something else for the diff.?

Do you have any shop near you where you can try them both? Maybe there are some differences in the Sound?

    hi,

    thanks for the input.

Actually i havent heard the Nord Lead 2 personally myself because there are not many stores in this area that have synthesizers on display. I did get a chance to hear the Nord Lead 3 and i was amazed by the sounds. Somebody told me earlier that the NL2 and NL3 are very similar in terms of their patches and sounds with the exception of a few more knobs and controls on the NL3.

I admit i was a bit drawn towards the NL3 because of the number of sounds it comes with.

Do you have any idea whether it is possible to buy the soundbank of the NL3 and load them up into the NL2 and play from it from there?

    thanks!

I don't know if that is possible. Sorry. But it's quite easy to make your own sounds..
