Does anyon rekon the G2 Modular's reverb sounds cheap?
thats bad
I shouldn't worry about that; imho most inbuilt reverbs sound 'not really good'. My Supernova II reverb is poor, my JP-8080 reverb is silly, my XP-30 reverb is also poor... If you want really good reverbs, you'd better get outboard gear from e.g. TC Electronic (M2000, M3000, M5000, FireworX, etc...) or Lexicon.

Damn, you got reverb on your 8080? I got jipped! (j/k, I'm sure you're talking about the delay). But yeah its pretty typical that if the effects are coming from the same DSP chip, they are not going to be super as the sound itself is more important for the processing power. They usually suffice for trying things out and for live, but probably better to use something better at record time.
This is unfortunate for the G2 though as it is such a monster. I think they through it in as I'm sure many people complained about the first modulars not having a reverb module. It was possible to emulate reverb at the cost of some processing power... I wonder if doing that sounds better than the built in module... Guess I'll have to wait till I splurge on one of those.
How much am i looking at for a decent outboard reverb? I find the reverb in logic Pro 7 pretty could would anyone agree?
tc electronics m300 is inexpensive (300 i think) and sounds decent. it has a cool delay too.
My bad. :ashamed:Originally posted by McSmooth

Just get some outboard reverb and patch it back into the mix. The best thing about the nord modular series is it's flexability.
