Hi All,
Not much around in terms of MPD24 Presets - I guess many of you never had much of a problem or have figured things out your own way.
Here I put together a preset for my FL workflow which works wonders and is split up as follows:
Pad Bank A: FPC - This is taken from the MPC2500 Preset and maps directly with the FPC so is great for laying down drums.
Pad Bank B and C: Slicex - these banks, taken from the BFD Lite Preset, allow you to play your chops/markers from SliceX in the order of your pads. This is a great way to edit your samples on the go!
Pad Bank D: Mute/Unmute - This gave me the biggest headache as I was trying to figure out how to use all my pads to mute/unmute tracks in FL. It turns out only certain cc messages can do this.
Note 1
The easiest way to do this is to use the vyzex editor, a pretty buggy piece of software, but it wont take longer than 10-15 mins if you do it manually on your MPD24.
Note 2
1) Keep the Midi Channel as 1A across all pads 2)Keep all Pads as Notes 3) I have kept Play Mode as MTY and Pressure OFF - this is completely up to you if you want to use aftertouch or not.
So here are the CC values you should asssign to each pad (by Pad Bank):
Pad Bank A: FPC
Pad1 - CC 37
Pad2 - CC 36
Pad3 - CC 42
Pad4 - CC 82

Pad1 to Pad16 - CC 76 to CC 91
Pad Bank D: Mute/Unmute
Pad1 - 0
