Been a while, huh? :)
I have a Yamaha DGX-205 keyboard. On the front panel, it says General MIDI. I was wondering if I could use this as my Midi keyboard. If you know, please help a yung brutha out like myself. THANX :D

Basically just about any keyboard made after '83 (when the MIDI spec was released) can be used as a controller. How well MIDI is implemented is a different thing - on simple "home" keyboards (like the DGXs), it's usually limited to just the keys and maybe program changes.

General MIDI is a standardized instrument definition list, sort of a sub-definition within the whole MIDI spec. Read more about it here.
