    Looking for a specific Analog Synthesizer.

    I am looking for "That" analog synthesizer.
    -Great feeling/action keys
    -Good hertz range
    -Quality sound
    -Midi controllable
    -Quality Engine(s)
    -Multiple Oscillators
    -Quality mod/pitch
    -Aftertouch
    -Good voice range
    -49-61 Keys
    -Bus powered (usb/firewire, either or.)
    -Display
    -Standalone enabled
    -Software enabled
    -Power supply
    You get the gist of what I'm talking about by now.

    you won't find any analog synthesizers that are software enabled. MIDI control is fine for most functions.

    if you want polyphony in a new-production analog synth, there aren't many places to look. Studio Electronics has the Omega but it's out of your pricerange. the Alesis Andromeda is discontinued, but considered by many to be an ultimate analog synth.

    if you want just a kick ass analog monosynth, there's fortunately a ton of options with the Moog Voyager probably being the Cadillac.

    The Alesis Andromeda is nice, it's really a sound designer's polysynth, but you can find some really nice patches online if you need a bit of help or inspiration. It probably costs a bit more that 3K right now, but it's close to that price. If you are ok with a monosynth, the Moog Voyager is a nice choice. If you really want a polyphonic synth and you aren't tied down to real analog, I hear the Access Virus TI sounds great and easily integrates with a DAW.
