I am really in love with the Korg X50 but does anyone know of any better synthesizers. I want a user friendly interface and great looks and lots of sounds.

i have one, its great but i would consider other keyboars around the same price as well, (im in the UK so price may vary) - i would look at the juno g (for 100 quid more here in the UK) maybe a second-hand alesis fusion? there are plenty more cant think at the mo
or alternatively your setup could be a midi controller and a bunch of vsts/sound modules.

I just purchased on of these.... you can still use the sequencer on the mpc 1000 via midi right?
You can use the MPC1000 as a sequencer for the x50 via midi. With audio outs going to a mixer if you have loads of equipment. If its just the mpc and x50 you can connect the audio outs to the record in slots (left and right). Thus, the x50 will be used as a sound module.
The microkorg is also a strong alternative to the x50, you'll save alot of money as well!!! anywayz gd luck hope that helped.

yes that does help... I was planning on running midi and stereo through the mpc.... that won't work?
