Hey guys i just bought a midi to usb cable off amazon and got it in the mail today. I was wondering how to connect my DR-660 drum machine to Fl studio. I've looked on youtube and followed instructions clearly. I just can't get Fl Studio to recieve my input. Please help out a new producer. Thanks in advance!

Connecting equipment via MIDI cables is not like USB, so don't expect the DR-660 to show up as a device in a list on you computer, as far as your computer goes you only need to set up your USB MIDI interface.

Something to watch out for when trying to test the MIDI connections of a drum machine is that the default MIDI channel is usually 10 rather than 1 and of coarse you might have to play around in the menu of the DR-660 to set it up to transmit and receive data.

It might also help if you told us how you have it hooked up now.
