Connecting my Korg Electribe To my computer ?

I bought the usb Midi connector from guitar center..i instaled the hardware..I went on to Fruity Loops and when i push the buttons on the korg nothing happens on fruity ..I have no clue what to do ..if u can help thanks.

You have to go through all the steps to enable it in fruityloops you'll need to select your device(usbmidi whatever) and give it a port number (0).

I don't know if Fruity can do what you are asking it to do.

What you are looking for, is MMC, midi machine command. You'll have to look through your fruity options menu, most likely, it'll be in a synch menu.

I think my EM-1 sends MMC by default, if not, the manual will show you how to set it up. I've always set my electribe to respond to MMC, Sonar would send the message, the EM-1 would start playing.

What exactly does the port numbers mean..i tried looking through the help option in fruity but it's not really helping me at all infact just making me more confused..
it said to go to remote control input in the midi settings option but when i go to select an input the only option it gives me is none with a check mark by it..it doesn't even list anything else..this is where i'm stuck at.. And now i have this synth that i've been wanting to use for liek a month now and i can't.. and it's really frusterating.. so if anyone can let me know as to what exactly i can do or if u have had a similar problem and figured it out please let me know because as of right now the korg synth i own is useless. thanks
