    Studio Monitors To PC?

quick question about studio monitors connecting to PC's, been trawling through google trying to find out more about this but couldn't find any solid solutions.

if i purchase studio monitors with 1/4 inch inputs, then connect both (left and right) to a USB mixer, and then to my PC, will this succesfully take the sound from whatever software i'm using out to the monitors? If not, what's the best way?

first post, sorry if it's a noobish one, thanks in advance though

i would personally ditch 1/4 jacks for studio monitors and go for RCA(the red and white cables) but thats just me. if someone else gives you a different approach feel free to disregard what im saying.

you also should put more info on equipment itself, like what exact monitors your talking about and whether the mixer has its own audio interface etc.. it just helps people help you a bit better.

    goodluck buddy.
