Studio Monitors??? which one's should I get?

I got myself the Yamaha HS50s. They sound really flat and you can really fix up the mid-range with it during mixing. The cost around $200 a piece. The only problem with these monitors is that you need a subwoofer to really mix the low end. You still have reasonable control of the bass while usin HS50s but for the sub-basses, you definitely have to get a subwoofer along with it.

Do you have active truth monitors or passive? I almost bought the 2030p's which are passive but I don't think my amp would drive them very well without making them "colored" and getting rid of the flat response.

It was awesome though, last night somehow my AV40's got knocked off my desk and it smashed the volume knob inside the speaker :sigh:

Now I have to replace them and I will most likely upgrade at this point.

Well that's a pain in the ass! Make sure the same thing doesn't happen with your replacement.
