Studio Monitor Issues

Currently I'm running to mackie 8in mk2 studio monitors two a native instruments audio kontrol 1. I have been experiences few issues when it comes to 808s as well as certain amounts of bass. Upon heavy use of bass my monitors will begin to duck out and transition between speakers before return to both speakers at normal level. I noticed it about a couple months ago and still can't come up with a fix for it. Someone at GC told me to buy a sub another worker told me to get a different audio interface.

please help save the bass!!!

I would try going to Native Instruments website, download and install the latest software drivers for your audio interface first. Also, it could be your monitor speakers low end driver getting ready to go out. But try the software driver first.
