Sorry but come on now, these kids.... They rather spend dough on jordans then buy a better quality cable or pay for some software update. That's the truth, if he got the dough get it.... **** even craigslist it!Originally Posted by Inverted314
I rather be legit or funk with freeware than have a sh*tload of ill-legals. besides in the real world that crap is sad and dont earn you no cool points. Don't believe me, check youtube and vimeo @ cats who can show the box of purchased goods lol!
yeah...im not smart enough to understand cause i have never seen a rompler prototype and i have never built a pc so you're right...give me a break dude seriously.
Actually it comes w/ 40 gigs of Apple Loops, like 14 quality AU sound generators including the EXS 24, Ultra Beat and Sculpture. Not to mention world class processor plugins. Yeah... do some research and you will seeOriginally Posted by Focused
the answer would be yes but you dont have to hack it.lol since its a windows computer ,with a "Intel" processor the process would be easy to put leopard on it ,but finding drivers is another thing.lol i was about to throw leopard on my laptop but i need all the drivers and i will make a jump to see how it is.Originally Posted by Boogiegothits

just research it and then research buying a mac/pc software sounds midi controller and interface and see what gets you more for your money unless portability is a factor than just get the it. .....................for me i already have software sounds a mac, a pc laptop 2 midi keyboards a motu interface and a mv8000 so i would just be buying everything i have in one box....so its not worth it but if you dont have any of that than it may be worth it..................................................just research and take notes on what your getting for how much money you are spending...
people told me i was wasting money when i got my mv ( even though i traded my girls laptop and a korg micro for it) because the computer does everything that it does...well thats true but its a different workflow which intern makes me produce different beats and i love it for sampling its so fast and easy.. i see strenths and weaknesses in both software and hardware now being that this was my first hardware......but i love them both and now i will be getting more hardware since i have everything i could ever want in the software realm.......so at the end of the day its what makes you happy

Here we go with the Miko vs. the world argument. As an actual owner of the TSE Miko I have to say I have absolutely no complaints. It's dope, fast, and a whole different workflow with the touchscreen, faders, etc. that you just don't get with a pc, macbook, etc. Very satisfied with mine like all Open Labs customers and would do it all over again, this time going for the Neko just for the extra keys. If money's an issue, by all means go the pc route Mev, but if you can afford it, why not choose the Corvette over the Malibu.
Miko is a PC in a custom box, I see no adantage of the system over any other PC system in any number of different shaped boxes.
I prefer not having my keyboard permanently attached to my computer though because computers get old quite quickly and it is nice to not have to throw the baby out with the bath water.
The Miko specifications are not overly impressive, I have gone over them and the software section is bloated with freeware to add bulk to the list also the choice of components are for the most part commercial products that you can add to your own PC.
