Removing Added RAM From MPC 2000xl

I've had my MPC 2xl for a while now and I started to noticed some added pops in my samples after I had them loaded for a while. I did some research and found the added ram could've gone bad. I didn't install the ram in it, so i looked up how to do it so i could reverse the steps. When I get to taking the ram out it just seems like i'm gonna break something. I'm pretty much wondering how easy is it to remove one of the chips? Can I be forceful? I don't want to damage anything else. Or does anyone have any tips on removing it? Thanks.

It's been a while since I opened mine, but I believe there's also some sort of clips holding the RAM. So you gotta "open" them first and I believe you can just remove the RAM without much force.
