MIDI doesn't come into equation at any point in this scheme...the only thing you can do with it in this setup is to control Reason with either the MPC or the EPS, but 1) Reason doesn't send MIDI data out at all, it only receives and 2) MIDI isn't sound. You can naturally sample what comes out of Reason into your MPC or the EPS, but for that you'll just use normal audio cables.Originally Posted by nuffced

I use to use the midiman 1x1 , since the midiman is via usb with two midi cords attached all you need to do is attached the midi to the back of your keyboard. then go to prefrences in reason and set your midi input to the eps or what ever midi controller you are using. those extra midi cables you have aren't neccessary. its called 1x1 because its one input and one output which should connect to your computer via usb.
