This might be a dumb question but can you overdub a sequence live directly from the record or does it have to be recorded to pad first and then overdubbed to the sequence?

For example, I would like to have a 4 bar sequence made and then layer it directly from the record I sample so that I can make adjustments and blend the samples perfectly.

You'll have to load it to one of your programs and trigger it with your pads..

You should read your manual. If you don't have one, google it, it's online too.

LoL my bad man, I know I been asking A LOT of questions. I had checked the manual but didn't know how to reference this question. Basically, if get the gist of what your saying, I can't record live into the mpc.

Thanks for all ur help and I'll try to be easy on the questions!

I'd advice reading through it a few times. That way you'll be able to dive in faster as you know all the functions.
