About LinkBacksok i just copped a internal zip thinking i could fit it in my mpc 2000. didnt work. the connections were different. my question is. could i get the exact zip that goes in the XL and put it in my 2000.

NO inless u can solder and know schematics. An mpc2000 can have an internal zip but requires some costly modifications. I recommend you either upgrade to an XL or buy an SCSI zip drive.
