For a while ive just been chopping up my samples but i now ive found something i want to loop. What steps do i take in order to make a loop on jj os1. Much apreaciated.

p.s if this has already been posted sorry i forgot to search.:D

with jjos you can timestretch in trim mode and it will automaticly find the bpm of the loop. then you'll just have to stretch it like you want and it will still give you the bpm of the stretched loop.

on the akai operating system, i dont have any idea.

No.

Just set the original tempo to 100 (in the time stretch dialog) and by setting the stretched pitch to something like 120, you then effectively sped the sample up by "20%" as opposed to a bpm value.

Enjoy!

For loops I like to get the exact tempo before I streatch.
But for a one shot sounds like say a bass note you can just use timestreatch to make longer or shorter.
