is the motif classic as good as the es?

do they have just about the same sounds and does the classic still have a bunch of hot synths like the es?

the original doesnt have all of the inserts in multimode(only 3 total instead of 2 per channel for 8 channels). The original has less polyphony(64 voice) and less wave ROM..meaning less voices. So thats pretty substantial in terms of sounds and patches.

HAHA i got the ES and you dont!!! but i dont know anything about the ES i just played with it a few times in Guitar Center and liked it so i copped it offa ebay..just got here an hr. ago actually

Wow Pakkman6 thats so great you have a es and I dont ..(lol) I had a es for like 1 week but then I traded for a Fantom X

Haha/......i got both of yall beat......i got a motif Z, and yamaha hasn't even invented it yet. Seriously though, i would get a ES over a classic obviously, but if I found a classic for a super steal, I would have no issues with getting it over an ES.
