    Monitors for MPC (before Mixing)

Hey people I need suggestions for cheap monitors for my MPC.

Basically (like most of you are probably doing) I plan to make the beat on my MPC and then record the signal from the outputs to my computer and then do the final mixing and effects on the computer with software. But I would like some decent speakers for my MPC as it's positioned relatively far away from my computer DAW (which right now is hooked up to a stereo system, soon to be hooked up to monitors). So I basically need speakers to listen to what I'm doing on the MPC. But I would like to be able to at least get a fair representation of what the signal might sound like so I can balance out the levels on the MPC mixer to provide a decent signal for my computer DAW to work with when tracking the beat.

They don't have to be anything special just something to help me give a decent signal for the computer that will help me do most of the actual mixing from Cubase. I would like to keep my budget around $200 per pair range for the MPC monitors. (Again they don't have to be anything special)

As a side note, I'm also looking for monitors for my computer DAW where I will do my actual mixing. If anyone can give suggestions here as well that would be helpful. I would like to keep my budget around $500 maybe a lil over for a pair. Right now I'm deciding between the Event TR8's, M-Audio Studiophile BX8a's, and the KRK RP-8's; for a room rougly 20' x 12'.

    Thanks

    bump

Anyone recommend anything? RIght now I'm thinking baout Alesis M1's (MK2) for pre-mix monitors.

Check into the M-Audio BX's or the Behringers. If your gear is connected properly u can use those monitors to monitor your sound from both your mpc and computer.(that goes with any type of monitor, headphones, ect that reproduces the sound for you to hear)

^^ Word I understand that. Except the position of my computer in relation to my mpc is way off. My computer is on one side of the room and the MPC is on the other side, so I would like to get a pair for my computer for when I track the MPC and mix on the computer and one pair for actually putting together a beat on the MPC. I've looked at all the options you guys listed. I just haven't listened to them yet. Just wondering how important it would be to invest in a decent pair of monitors for a situation like this. In other words if its worth it to spend the extra dough for good monitors if eventually I will be mixing and mastering the tracks on the computer.

Have any of you guys actually listened to the monitors you suggested? If so, what's your own personal opinions on them?

    I appreciate the replies
