Loading Samples On The Mpc 1000...

i been having a little problem with loading samples/ sounds onto my mpc and hopefully yall can be of a some assistance.

i got some drum sounds/ samples that im trying to load onto my mpc from my cpu. let me run down to you what i do, and please let me know if im doing something wrong cuz i cant figure this out.

first i go to an unused sequence. i set my bpm, go to track 1, type=drum, pgm=off, and the midi is off. then i go to mode>load>usb. i go on my computer and drag the sounds/ samples i want into the mpc.

i go back to my load screen. it says
    LOAD FROM: MEMORY CARD
    : ROOT
FILE: (I CHOOSE THE SAMPLE I WANT)

then i assign the sample to the pad that i want. here's where i run into a problem. i'll make a loop using the sounds/ samples that i just assigned on track 1. then, for example, i would like to add some piano over it. so i'll go to TRACK 2, SELECT MIDI, THEN MIDI 1A and i start playing some piano from my sound module. the problem is, the sounds that i assigned the pads are still being triggered when im trying to pay some piano over them so the loops gets all messed up. get it??
i been desparetely trying to figure this thing out since i got it but im getting no where. i been told that my mpc is messed up but i dont think thats the case. PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!
thanks in advance and god bless.

    anybody?

When you go on track 2 for the piano, make sure that the PGM=off. Hope that helped.

    Peace
