WHATS UP YALL, I NEED SOME HELP, OK SO FAR I GOT A ROLAND SP 808 EX, A JV1010, AND A MIDI CONTROL KEYBOARD, AND IM GETTING THE MO PHATT TODAY, MY QUESTION I AM TRYING TO MAKE HIP HOP BEATS, (kinda like nas, beatnuts, dre, kurupt, daz, like that stuff), SOULD I GOT AHEAD AND BUY ME A AKAI MPC 2000 XL, FOR MY SEQUENCER, AND DRUM MACHINE, OR SOULD I GO AHEAD AND BUY ME A NEW PC, WITH SOME COMPUTER PROGRAM LIKE CUBASE, I LIKE HARDWARE BETTER THEN SOFTWARE, BUT WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK I SOULD PICK UP,

ALSO WERE CAN I GET A CHEAP BRAND NEW AKAI MPC 2000 XL, ??????

My honey is one of the dopest producers (ok,ok, I'm sure I'm extremely biased) and he has both a sampler and a pc with Cubase. According to his knowledge of both he's always preferred the hands on of his sampler, but if you're using a keyboard you may be satisfied with just using cubase. Sorry he never has the time to respond to these so I thought I would try to offer some assistance. Let me know how it goes. And in the meantime check out this artist www.7life.net

Hardware Rules!!! So does turning your Caps-Lock off.

An MPC with a memory expansion would be radical.
