    holding notes on an MPC2000xl

    ok i jus got a 2000xl and wen i hit a sample i want it to stop after i let go of the pad....

    how do i do this?

    and can i do it to individual pads ...or does it have to be all?

    and i really jus wen i hit the pad again....i dont want it to overlay and sound ****ty like an echo.....i want it to start all over again so i can stutter the sample and stuff

    chop the sample to individual pads

    Go to shift and program them params and put the sound to NOTE OFF
    If will defalt at POLLY so hilight polly and turn to note off.
    This makes it to where the sound only plays while you finger is pressing the pad,you do this for each pad you want to be on NOTE ON

    but now that i got that


    how do i do it the other way?

    where after i take my finger off ..it keeps playin....but wen i hit the pad again it restarts instead of overlapping??

    same sreen but change the field to mono instead of poly or note off

    i highly recomend you read the manual homie... these are some of the most basic of operations, also don't hesitate to use the search function here an FP... just about any ? you'll have has already been answered prolly 10 times... good luck
