I am not sure if I should spend money buying a mixer, or would it be possible to sample from a reciever to my MPC1000. I am trying to spend money so I can buy a Roland 1080, and i will probably run that and a midi keyboard through my mpc (if possible) but I am probably not getting that for a couple months. So i was owndering if I could just connect my turntable to the reciever?

Well yeah, you'd probly have to connevt your TT to the reciever to use it's grounding wire. Then just sample the outs of your reciever, pending it has something like DAT out, otherwise you might need a dj mixer.
