Question Converting Fl Studio To Hardware

Im converting from FL studio to a hardware setup (tired of FL studio) and I need some advice.I just got the yamaha motif XS6 and now Im looking for a sequencer to use with it.These are my options:
1.Cubase 4 (the motif XS is setup to intergrate right into the sequencer of cubase 4)
    2.MPC 3000 OR 2500
    3.Roland MV8800

1.The reason I was thinking about cubase 4 is because the you can use the motif xs like a vst inside the sequencer and the motif has alot of new features the slicing and extended sampling. So I figured with the motif sounds and my vst plugins and the cubase 4 sequencer I would be straight.

2.I really like the sound of the mpc 3000 but it lacks alot features of the new mpc 2500 but overall there easy to use.If I got the 3000 the motif has alot of the 2500 features so Im up in the air on this one.

3.Ive heard alot of good things about the roland mv-8800 and played with it briefly at sam ash didnt seem that easy to use like the mpc but I heard once you get the hang of it, its well worth it.Up in the air on this too.
Let me know you guys advice on this I need to complete my studio and the main sequencer is the last thing on my list so any advice would be helpful

    Peace
    J

How much do you have to spend lol I wish I had your wallet....on to the question

If you got the dough for the MV-8800, then do that. It'll be an all in one. Theres the xv sounds synthesizers on it, (which is tight) the 808 909 drum kits (plus like a sh!tton more kits) and you can hook it up to a monitor and the mixing is a lot like FL studio only sweeter.

Cubase I find hard to work with, and the MPC's are kinda unneccessary seeing as you have a powerhouse top of the line workstation (and the XS is top of the line.)

Or you could sell all your equipment and get a neko (joking)

Check it out...actually the sequencing is like pro tools and fl

THanks for the advice BenL my question about that mv is that the motif xs has a lot of the same features but it lacks the sequencer do u think they would be a good combination with the motif xs because of that?

I do think they would be a good combination....The sequencing is much like an MPC with Protools. It gives u the pattern sequencing of the MP and the mixing of ProTools, so whether your making beats or mixing the final track, I think youll like it.

Yeah Saint Joe it has a built in sequencer but to me the sequencers in the mpc's and mv-8800 are much better. But ive been playing with the motif xs today and my friends cubase 4 and the sequencing of those two together is hot.the motif sounds shows up like a vst and I have all my other vst's running right along those in a template.

yeah, since yamaha owns cubase (steinberg) now they are integrating it more with the hardware stuff, so, cubase integration will be seamless, I know that is a good setup and you should be able to do all you need, just an interface to record the motif audio into cubase when you need to.

If you are buying an MPC or an MV-8800 for the sequencer, you are wasting your money. The same sequencing can be found on countless pieces of hardware with less features. The Roland MC-808 for example. I'm not saying don't get an MPC or an MV-8800. But make sure you have a reason for them. It'd be a great injustice to not only your wallet, but the machines themselves if all their primary function is being a sequencer.

You should look into getting a Fantom (xa,x6,x8)
they come with pads and keys

They are so tight, they practically make the songs themselves.
