    ASR-10 time stretch

Could one of you asr experts please tell me how quickly does the asr time-stretch say... an 8 second sample. They say the mpc 2000xl takes forever to do it, i'm just hoping asr doesn't have this problem. And just to hear it from someone who owns one.... can it time stretch WITHOUT changing the pitch and WITHOUT adding a nasty worp effect. If it can, i just might cop me one and a cute little mpc 1000.

    Thanks in advance

bad news the asr-10 takes about as long to resample as watchin the complete "Roots" saga back to back. I would time strecth on a computer sound forge is a good program. U got to take in effect that the asr-10 processor is 12 years old so its kinda slow compared to the mpc2000xl, and u see how long it take to time stretch on that.

    hope this helps

DAMN!!! At this rate I'll never sample the quality I want to, how fast I want to, or at the convinience I want to until I save up enough to cop an mpc 4000! Guess I'll just have to be patient. Thanks reppa. If anyone still has something to add I would be more than happy and grateful to hear it.
