Yo, Anyone seen the Madlib interview?
    http://www.stonesthrow.com/madlib/re...icacademy.html

Kids ill.....inspiring to know he does everything lowbudgt and only spends big bucks for mastering. Makes anyone with a digital recorder feel lke the own a 100 dollar/hr studio.

Madlib says his main tool of trade is Boss SP-303 Dr Sample...a little hard to believe after reading another interview where he BIGUPPED the SP1200 so much....check out the Real Video interview!

That interview is funny.. I really think money plays mysterious so that folks don't find out the secrets behind his "genious".
Can someone list a few tracks that sum up the Madlib experience? I've listened to "Soundpeices" (wich is definantly dope) and some other stuff but I really don't understand the idol status that kids put on him..

All that said, I do like his **** a lot. I think he is a dedicated digger and has an ear on him. The way he acts just makes him seem a little suspect to me.. And the 303? I'm sure he uses it, but how did he get three minutes of sample time out of it(Answers, etc.)?? Hmmmm...

    peace

im with you crest...i think he just wants people to see how "dope" of a producer he can be...and the 303? he probly uses it but he did mention he uses mpc's and sp's for drums...hmm and who knows what else..
