    Akai S2000 SysEx problem

    Hello everyone!

I'm trying to control my Akai S2000 via SysEx. And I am SOOoo close. I can send sysex data and it is receiving it...

    BUT

It seems to be incorrectly reading the hexadecimal values. It is acting as if it can only read the 2nd of the two hex numerals.

Ex... I send the parameter values 00 through 0A, and they show up in the Akai as 0 - 15, which is to be expected, but then I go to 10 (which in decimal would be 16) and I get 0.

Then (via my computer sysex controller) I scroll up to 1A, and the Akai scrolls up to 15 again... up to 20 the Akai goes back to 0... and so on all the way up to F7 (127).

I've thoroughly tested my software which is sending the sysex data, and it appears to be sending what I think it's sending, and I've formatted the sysex several ways (varying hex formats and decimal) and I get the same kind of results.

Any thoughts as to why I may be experiencing this? Anyone heard of this happening before?

    Thanks!
    Mike

Yes I have heard of this before, check this article out Using Mixermaps In Steinberg's Cubase Sequencer it has some info about the S2000 SysEx in relation to Cubase Mixermaps.
