New soundcard / interface advise

Hello all,

I upgraded my studio PC and can not longer use my Lynx Two PCI soundcard because my new PC only has PCI express slots.
I guess this leaves me the choice of either a PCI express internal soundcard, or USB/FW external interface.

I’ m running Windows 7 and only use 1 stereo in- and output (few more wouldn’t hurt but not necessary)
I am looking for good stable drivers and support and of course low latency.

What do you guys recommend?

I'm using Digidesign Mbox 2, got it new on Ebay. It's all good, but check out the FW versions of Mbox 3 (Avid).

If price is an issue then the Steinberg ur22 is a great choice. If not then RME babyface. Of course all of this depends on your needs.

who told you that you can't run pci cards in pci express slots - the pci express standard allows the uss to drop to the speed for a pci card if required - so they will work, they will just slow down the buss speed on each slot....
