Hi I am looking into maybe buying the Neko but I have a Korg M3 already, and a wack load of good VST's in my PC. So I'm wondering if the Neko LX5 worth the buy?
Thanks.

I don't think it would be in your case. The Neko is great for portability (you haven't stated that this is something that you want). It is essentially a glorified notebook with a midi controller and audio interface attached. You would be much better off buying a midi controller, audio interface and new computer. You could plug in your M3 as well.
I am not looking for portability but it seems that a lot of people that use it in there home studio's enjoy it. Is it too over rated?
I have a PC with a midi controller and an audio interface as well.
really, right now i rather get a MPC Renaissance + Behringer UMX 61.

Neko= laptop with software, vsts, a keyboard, a midi controller and a mini sound board. so no its not worth it lol
No. I do not think it is worth it. It's really not giving you anything that you don't already have. On top of this upgrading is probably a pain in the axx down the road.
Essentially it is a computer with a midi controller and Presonus interface attached. But then again this is coming from someone who has a Rhizome and loves it, which really is built around the same concept. Do you NEED, no. But if you WANT it go for it. It doesn't hurt to treat yourself if you can afford it.
I saw a girl texting & driving the other day & it really made me mad, so I rolled down my window & threw my whiskey flask at her.
It's just a PC in a silly case designed for hunchbacks.
look at neko´s website the hardware and audio interface are not the best and the vst´s too
you can use more with a pc or high end laptop
