MPD or Maschine? - with Ableton

It's a tough one, really I think it's more about the feel of the pads, especially if you take Maschines software out of the equation.
 
I have the MPD 16 and the Maschine MKII. I must say that the pads on the Maschine feel just as good and as responsive as the MPD pads. But the whole thing for me is the fact that I can do everything on the Maschine controller, I'm doing everything from it without looking at the software. Try that with the MPD, I don't think you'll get the same result.
 
I used to use a MPD 18 with Ableton and now I use Maschine with it. I mostly use it as a control surface for Ableton. If you just want a set of pads I would not recommend Maschine. Its a great controller and the software is dope but if you just want pads its way too pricey imo.
