Ive watched a lot about them and some producers use it for mixing. Im 17 so I live with my parents and I cant turn the speakers too loud especially at night so headphones would be a better choice..

I used to have a discussion about it 2 years ago.

I think people said Sennheisers and Beyerdynamics where better and everybody immediately started saying i should not get a Beats by Dre cause they are too Bass-heavy.
I tried the Sennheiser (dont remember what it was called) and the Beyerdynamics DT-990 Pro.

But i felt like the Sennheiser was too Bass-heavy to so it scared me that i would turn my bass to low in my mixes because of that.
I felt like the DT-990 Pro had the most natural sound for mixing so i went with that one.

Stay away from Beats by Dre.... just don't buy them... seriously, run the other way.

Like the above poster said, Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic are definitely the way to go and I'd also like to throw in Shure because their SRH840's are excellent. I hear mixed reviews about the KRK's but honestly I would stay away from those also because of all the other headphones out there that are proven to get the job done.

You'll also want to check the Ohms on whichever you choose because you may need a headphone amp for them to work the way they were intended. Beyerdynamic headphones have models that range anywhere from 80 ohms to 600 ohms (the higher the ohms, the more accurate but also require more power).

Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
