Help with Studio Monitor setup? (Advice needed!)

Hey whats good FP? I'm looking to upgrade my speakers (pc speakers) to some new studio monitors

These Behringers are the ones I have in mind

Behringer B1031A - Thomann UK Cyberstore

I need some serious help on the questions below.

    1. How would I control the volume of this setup? Can someone tell me what hardware I would need to control the sound, like a master controller.

    2. Do I need an audio interface?

    3. I have an MPD26. Can I use that in some way to control the volume. These monitors do not have any knobs on them (none I can see) and I don't want to have to change the volume of each speaker serparately. I need one controller that will turn it up/down easily.

I am a complete beginner and I don't wanna waste money so I would appreciate some replies!

    THANKS ALOT!

DON'T get Behringer. If you cant get at least Mackies or Events save up a little more. You can even get the monitors used for like half price. Shoot for 8 inch woofers. In the meantime while saving use some speakers in your house that go low enough to know what your doing in the low frequencies.

There are monitor control devices you can buy for the volume but I just control the volume from my interface.

You don't NEED an audio interface but your making music, without one your gonna have a lot of latency problems and no way to record midi/audio.

I guess you can link one of the knobs or sliders to control volume in your DAW and without an audio interface volume control for monitors would be through your computer and DAW

Thanks for the reply. So what Audio Interfaces would you recommend?
Any good AI's that can be rack mounted preferably. if not then just name a few and Ill pick...

and whats wrong with Behringer? I was looking at KRK's but I've told so many things about each type of monitor brand that it's hard to pick lol. Thanks

Definitely stay away from Behringer..rappy quipment .Go for M-Audio Bx5 if your budget is tight. Or a little higher to Yamaha HS50M. Get the matching sub for either.

KRK will likely have that bass you're looking for. Behringer is a very spotty brand. They have some cool stuff in their top-of-line price range, but Ive seen most of their consumer equipment amount to crap. From mixers to speakers. Never felt satisfied with their products and have repeatedly replaced equipment at several churches that used it.
