i make the beats, i just need a mic for the local artists that i know. Any suggestions? im going to guitar center to buy one so if you could link me to a good mic that would be amazing id appreciate it a lot, i have no clue whatsoever when it comes to mics. it can be a little over 150 too maybe 250-300 max but im really want a decent one for cheap.

    RODE NT1.
Or a lot of bang for your buck as it's only 90 bucks or so, the AKG perception range, from the cheapest one to more expensive ones.

I have a Nady SCM 800 which you can get for like $50. Has a very clean pro sound. I recorded these tracks on it

i used sterling audio st-55 for 200$ at guitar center it came with a pop filter and a shockmount for free which was normally like an extra 60 bucks but worked great on hip hop vocals for the price...

The kind that you save up and shell out $300 on. Try The RODE NT1A.

heard good things about the rode nt1a, but im using a studio projects b1 which i picked up fairly cheap. has a nice crisp sound but is a very sensitive mic, not really ideal in a home environment
