Control Surfaces Able To Control Plug In Parameters in Pro Tools?

Would anyone know of any, all I've seen is the Mackie Control C4 which is discontinued and im afraid to purchase if it isnt compatible.

Well, pretty much everything is compatible. That's what they're designed to do, after all.

True, but Ive only been hearing comments of its compatibility in every other software but Avids, also reading from older forums Digi Design never made a driver for it, Im just not trying to lose any money, all the researching Ive been doin and you get cold feet when you dont even see at least one person just respond "yes".

The C4 is straight-up MIDI, so it should work just fine for the purpose you're proposing. However, it does seem to lack a HUI-compatible driver, so I guess it wouldn't work for controlling PT itself - although I'm a bit unclear on the current status of PT in this regard (ie. whether or not it still needs a HUI-based controller to be used...).
