Toshiba laptop recording, external sound card/interface help?

ahh gday guys, long time since I've ventured on here! Getting back into recording and I'm wanting to do this on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I've got everything I need from my old desktop setup except an external sound card/interface.
Any ideas on what I should look into? Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 looks the goods!

What exactly do you need the interface to do? Yeah, the 2i2 is nice enough if you only need a very basic set of i/o.

Hey krushing,

Basicly get the sound from the mic, through the mixer and into the laptop. My old setup was NT1 > UB1002 mixer > M Audio Delta 66.
Seeing as though I can't install a sound card in the lap top I would need an external one yeah?
