    Yo,

I have a Digi 003 Rack and a Mbox 2 in my studio. I go back and forth between the both of them but I always record in my 003 Rack because ya know.... my Mic and stuff is hooked to my rack. My Mbox is for mobile stuff.

Whenever I start mixing with the 003 Rack and activating plug in's there is this noise that slams my volume on my audio Track.

When I mix with the Mbox 2.... This doesn't happen.

Only when I mix on the 003. Has anyone every had this problem or heard of it? I have combed the internet and nothing has popped up. I went to Avid to search their problem forums....Yeah... Good luck with that.

Please help.... I am backed up galore because of this issue because I don't want to have to use my mbox 2 on my mixes when I can get much higher quality through my 003 rack. I am supposing and please correct me if I am wrong there.

    Thanks in advance.

    Grace and Peace,
    seal

those who can trouble shoot problems in pro tools know that it could be a variety of problems, some problem cost money to fix in the form of a consultant or technician fee. So ppl probably will not bother to help you. However first thing you should do is check your I/O setup, then delete and default all paths. Like I said it could be so many problems. You may have to pay someone to get you up and running. And lastly a Digi 003 is not much better than a Mbox...IMO..If you can get your sessions completed using the Mbox why not use that for now until you can get someone to trouble shoot for you?

Well my I/O's are fairly simplistic since I have a home studio. I don't think I have ever set up a path. I do delegate where my audio takes are saved to make sure my playback is running on my external hard drive and not my internal hard drive. But I have been doing that for a hot minute now. I'm going to try and delete Pro Tools and then down load it again to see if that helps... should of been an obvious step for me to try.

Thanks for you feed back and I will certainly check out my I/O setup to see if anything looks fishy.

The 003 honestly isn't much better than the Mbox.

What version of PT are you using? OS? Compatible FW chipset? If running Win 7, do you have legacy FW drivers installed? Have you trashed your preferences?
I saw a girl texting & driving the other day & it really made me mad, so I rolled down my window & threw my whiskey flask at her.
