    Numark TTUSB Noise Problem

Hey everyone, hopefully you can help out with this issue I am having. I just purchase a Numark TT-USB turntable for sampling purposes. When I brought it back and plugged it in, everything installed correctly. However when I try to record from it (either off the original program it came with or Cubase), it it just this constant loud humming noise that doesn't go away. So I went and got some Phono jack adapters and plugged it directly into my interface. It had the same results. I was wondering if this is a common/fixable problem or if I just got a defective turntable and need to take it back. Thank you.

Yes, I've messed with that knob as well. Also tried both types of RCA (phone/line), along with the usb.

Cartridge/needle could be borked. If I was you I'd take it back, the Numark PT01USB would be a good replacement.
