the "AKG K240 STUDIO" is some kind of reference model for mixing and is used in many recording studios.
if you want more bass response the "Sennheiser HD280" might be better for you. an alternative is the "Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro". it is a bit cheaper, more comfortable and it looks cooler.![]()
i had the akg till my dj blew it up, now i have the sennheiser and i like it more then the akg.
if you need headphones for recording you can't use the akg because it's open.
I have the BeyerDynamics DT770.. They are great for listening to music but I don't like them for reference/mixing since the bass response is so good in these cans.My mixes would end up light on bass..
They are mega comfortable.
I am presently using the "AKG 240 Studio" They are comfortable but not very and they appear more rugged and well made in the picture then they actually are. The sound for me is constrained and while I am working I find myself thinking "I need a new pair of headphones" which is distracting. The stores around here sell nothing to speak of so one is reduced to picture shopping on the Web. Great to hear some other suggestions.
terocious
