NEED akai mpd 16 installation software HELP

not sure if u all know this but the driver that i got for the mpd16 was not an .exe file.

it was a .dll(?) that when i hooked up the mpd i had to point windows to the location of the driver.

then it installed fine. my only problem next was finding an ac adapter for it (which i found at radioshack) and configuring the notes for each pad so it would work with my roland mc-909 and with reason.

now it works like a charm and im psyched that i got it.

I'm using mine with cakewalk, how did you figure out how to configure the notes to the individual pads?

I checked the manual for my 909 AND THE MANUAL FOR REASON AND IT SAID SOMETHING ABOUT MIDI key arrangements or something like that.

if u dont havre the manual, u should be able to find it thru trial and error.

for example, let's say my 909 was 34,35,36,37,etc and Reason was 27,28,29,30,etc. Since you know that the 16 notes that will work are in a series, all u need is to find 1 that works and u can eventually figure out what the correct series is thru trial and error.

How can I actually set the pad up and see it? The AKAIPRO site is confusing...
