The search feature was eating a lot of resources on the server (according to Mano, FP founder and upkeeper). Remember how the site used to lag like crazy? Apparently that was the problem. He hopes to bring it back, but they need a second server to be dedicated to the search function and cannot afford it right now.
Hence the crappy search...I guess we can only donate and wait...I'd really like to see the old search again.
If it sounds good, it *is* good.
